All Lakeshore Soccer Club Board Member positions are a 2 year commitment. Board meetings are monthly, the 3rd Monday of each month, at 7:00 p.m and last about 2 hours. All meetings are held at the Y in Grand Haven. In addition to monthly meetings, each board position requires extra time each month to fulfill that position's job expectations. Most positions require an additional amount of work for 2-3 months out of the year. Most positions are volunteer with the exception of our Director of Coaching and Registrar.
Open Board Positions for the 2017-18 soccer season:
Treasurer: *Term starts Immediately- with training from our current Treasurer
- Understand Quick Books and Excel
- Background check run through Gotsoccer each year
- Track Revenue and Expenses and balance the budget
- Ensure all invoice and commitments are paid in a timely manner
- Track Revenue from player fees and other sources
- Create a budget for the upcoming year
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Prepare annual financial reports
- Prepare 1099s for coaches and vendors
- Track and pay amounts owed to GVSA and Gotsoccer
- Manage annual tax filing status and reports as required
- Manage and deposit all club funds
- Must attend board meetings the third Monday each month
- Voting Board Member
Director of Fields: *Term starts Immediately - with training from our current Field Director
- Work with NORA, TCYSO, and TCKL on field schedules for fall/spring season
- Work with NORA and municipalities on special need fields
- Communicate with GVSA on field changes/conflicts
- Communicate with Pat Rose, Referee Assignor, on game/field schedules
- Collect and order equipment for coaches
- Must attend board meetings the third Monday each month
- Voting Board Member
Director of Tryouts: *Term starts Immediately - with training from our current Tryouts Director
